Panamanian-born chef and novelist Eric Paz brings three bilingual novels to the Texas Book Festival
Author Eric Paz will showcase three novels that weave together history, mystery, and passion—from the pirate-haunted Caribbean to the secrets of the Vatican and the world of vampires.
AUSTIN, Texas — Eric Paz, a Panama City-born professional chef turned novelist, will sign and sell all three of his novels in English and Spanish at the Texas Book Festival, November 14–15, in Exhibitor Tent 4, in the exhibitor marketplace on the Texas State Capitol grounds.
Paz will feature his newest novel, The Vampire’s Woman, a gothic story that explores immortality, desire and the cost of eternal life, published by Federación de escritores, poetas y artistas Latinoamericanos (FEPAL).
“I hope readers leave my novels curious about history, moved by the characters, and willing to follow the scent of the impossible.”— Eric Paz
Paz’s debut, The Pirate’s Kiss, follows Henry Morgan, the privateer who sacked the original Panama City in 1671, condemned by a sorceress’s curse to wander for nearly four centuries in search of the woman he lost. His second novel, The Virgins of the Temple (Las Vírgenes del Templo), imagines a secret sisterhood that has protected the pope since the third century and must act again in 1978, the year the church saw three popes. His third book tells of a very ambitious woman who conquers the love of the son of Dracula and becomes immortal, rich and insatiable.
Born in Panama City in 1965, Eric Paz trained as a publicist and built a career as a professional chef and entrepreneur before turning to fiction. He has lived in the United States since 2002. All three novels are available in Spanish and English at ericpaz-author.com and Amazon.
The Texas Book Festival is free and open to the public. Meet Eric Paz at his booth, explore his three novels, and have your books personally signed.
