Eric Paz is a Panamanian-born author of historical, thriller, and supernatural fiction. Born in Panama City in 1965, he is a trained publicist, professional chef, and entrepreneur whose diverse background shapes his distinctive narrative voice. He has lived in the United States since 2002 and currently resides in Austin, Texas.
His debut novel, The Pirate’s Kiss, blends documented history with legend, mystery, and immortal love, establishing his signature style: richly detailed settings, complex characters, and stories where the past echoes powerfully into the present.
In 2026, Paz expanded his literary universe with Las Vírgenes del Templo. This historical thriller uncovers a secret sisterhood operating from the shadows of the Vatican, intertwining faith, power, and centuries-old conspiracies. That same year, he ventured into gothic fiction with The Woman of the Vampire (June 2026), a dark and atmospheric novel exploring immortality, desire, and the cost of eternal life.
A fascination with hidden histories, religious symbolism, and the blurred line between myth and truth drives Eric Paz’s work. Through his novels, he invites readers to question what history conceals—and what happens when those secrets refuse to remain buried.
